I wrote this story by order of the Old Guru who had read and watched a video about it. His opinion was that, and perhaps you will understand from reading this story, Eastern and Western mysticism are not 2 separate systems, but only one.
About 7 or 8 years ago, I came to visit Linda McKenzie together with 4 disciples at her home in Manhattan Beach. She greeted us warmly. The reason why she invited us to her home was because her husband had been initiated by one of my disciples, and she was curious to find out more about our religion. When everybody was seated, she began to tell us about her.
She told us that she is the owner of a nutrition company and host of a radio show. She is a practicing psychic, clinical hypnotherapist, writer and lecturer. In her radio show, people call in and receive a brief reading from her, based solely on their names. Most of the time the readings were pretty accurate.
She explained that, when she was 8 years old, she discovered that she had psychic abilities. One was the ability to see things before they happened. All of her life, she had communicated with God who guided her and blessed her with supernatural healing powers. She healed various people, including herself and her daughter from a severe illness which modern medicine had failed to cure.
She became famous in the psychic world. The Government of England invited her and some other psychic people to come to England for a test of their psychic abilities. Each of them, using their own skills (psychic intuition, vision, hearing, etc.. ) had discovered details concerning a famous killer named Jack the Ripper which, when put together, proved to be details the police had in their secret, not for the public, files. The details were also historically correct. The experiment with was recorded in the documentary video called “Jack the Ripper”. For her accomplishments and participation in the psychic experiment, she was awarded an honorary PhD from a University. She was much younger then. At the time of our meeting she was in her early 60.
When she finished her story, I proposed to initiate her. She refused, saying that she only believes in God and that she does not need anything else. I suggested that she pray to God and see what God says. She joined her palms, closed her eyes and prayed silently for a little while. Then she opened her eyes and said to me: The message I received from Him is “This is God’s will”. Then, she accepted to be initiated. A disciple then prayed for her in the Name of God. In just a few minutes, her hands moved apart by themselves, guided by an invisible force, which then prompted her to come in front of me. She started to bend her back down and as if she realized what she was about to do, she caught herself and stood back up. She explained that she felt that she should bow down to me, but she did not want to do it because she was not accustomed to do so, even though she respected me and what I was preaching. She explained that she only kneels down to God.
I told her that is fine, however, why don’t you consult with God about this? She did. And then she started to let the divine force guide her to bow all the way down to me. After that, I talked to her a little about Secret Buddhism practice. A disciple took out the sacred yantra, representing God and the Five Armies, and put it on the book shelf. Again she was prompted to kneel and bow down with her head touching the ground (oriental way of paying respect to Buddha)
She seemed moved when I gave her the set of five mantras for her to practice. She tried to recite it with an accent that made them hardly recognizable.
By the end she and her husband both were prompted and guided by the Spirit’s force to bow down to me 3 times in the fashion of the Tibetan Lama, with the whole body lying down and putting the face down.
Before we left, she signed and gave me a copy of her book Inner Insights published in 1996.
