WHY DIVINERS END UP POOR?

Q: My father always warned me, saying, “Being a fortune teller makes you susceptible to committing sins. They risk offending people by revealing Heaven’s Plan, and vice versa. By aiding the living, they may bring harm to the dead. Therefore, never become a fortune teller, shaman, or sorcerer.”
From personal observation, I’ve noticed that monks, priests, diviners, and shamans rarely achieve prosperity. Merely having enough to sustain oneself with life’s basics is considered fortunate.
Do you believe that fortune tellers, clairvoyants, and similar practitioners face poverty and misfortune because they unveil Heaven’s Plan?
A: Why are diviners poor? How do they explain it?
We often hear from diviners, mediums, and other spiritual practitioners that their poverty and hardships are a result of revealing Heaven’s Plan. However, this notion is paradoxical because deciphering Heaven’s Plan is not an easy feat. Even high-ranking officials like colonels or generals cannot access national defense secrets, let alone diviners or mediums who typically hold lower administrative roles and whose accuracy is often questionable.
The true reason behind the poverty of diviners and enchantresses lies not in their disclosure of Heaven’s Plan but in their initial socioeconomic status. Many of them were already impoverished and turned to the supernatural realm out of necessity. After experiencing some success, they may succumb to greed, becoming charlatans and deceivers who exploit others. Consequently, they incur the wrath of both the Spirits of Hades and their invisible patriarchs, leading to false predictions and further misfortunes.
Rather than acknowledging their shortcomings, these charlatans often attribute their misfortunes to their supposed revelation of Heaven’s Plan—a manifestation of vanity and self-importance. It is well-documented that descendants of diviners or exorcists often suffer from demonic possession and other calamities, highlighting the consequences of deceit and manipulation.
In life and religion alike, those who serve with integrity are rewarded, while those who abuse their positions face consequences. Just as a corrupt official is punished by the government, fraudulent spiritual practitioners face retribution from the deities. Contrary to the belief that sincere practitioners are abandoned to their fate, the reality is that dishonesty is met with divine punishment.
To truly contribute to society and humanity, one must understand how to serve and support those in power, whether it be a monarch or a divine entity. Only through genuine service and devotion can one attain blessings and powers necessary to address societal issues. Conversely, those who deceive others in the name of religion face condemnation and punishment from the divine realm.
