Vision of a detained baby turtle

Bowing to the Patriarch and Master,
Tonight, while immersed in my recitation of the Dharanis, I was visited by a curious vision. In it, I beheld a hand grasping a tightly sealed jar containing a baby turtle. Each time the turtle attempted to break free, a radiant flash of light illuminated its movements.
As the vision unfolded, the turtle transformed itself into an extraordinary person and attempted to escape without success. I couldn’t help but wonder why this adorable little turtle was imprisoned in the first place, and I was on the verge of releasing it from its confines. However, a lingering thought crossed my mind: there must be a purpose behind its detention. So, I addressed the turtle, asking why it had found itself trapped in the jar.
With a plea for salvation, the turtle responded, ‘Please save me.’ I remained firm, insisting, ‘Let me know the reason before I set you free.'”
“Baby turtle: I had transformed myself into a human being and killed people. That was why I’m here.
So I said: Turtle, you better stay here to repent and cultivate compassion, when you reform yourself you will certainly be released.
The turtle stood up and joined its paws on its chest in the repentant posture, and with each apology it made, it became bigger and the jar also getting bigger. A moment later the turtle said: ‘This is so boring’… Thereupon its size immediately went back to normal. End of vision.
My Spirit Guardian asked: What lesson have you learned?
Me: I’ve learned that I need to find out the reason before making any decision and about one’s own effort.
Then appeared in mid-air a male Bodhisattva in a meditative pause covered in brilliant aura. He joined his hands then opened them up and I could clearly see the palms of his hands.
My Spirit Guardian said that I was in the presence of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva. The Force prompted me to bow down. The vision ended.
Respectfully reported,
Hasu
“Comment:”
The lesson from the story is that genuine repentance and personal transformation require sincere effort and commitment. The turtle initially sought salvation but became disinterested in the process of repentance because it found it boring. This highlights the importance of perseverance and dedication in spiritual growth. It reminds us that meaningful change requires continuous effort and cannot be achieved through superficial or half-hearted actions.
