In the 1990s, I reconnected with an old friend who introduced me to a doctor in Chinatown, Los Angeles. Seeking treatment for my back pain, I made an appointment with the doctor's office. Following the treatment, the doctor inquired about my religion.

"I practice Buddhism and magical spells," I replied.

"Do you believe in Holy Spirits?" the doctor asked.

"Yes," I answered, recounting my experiences with mysterious phenomena during my magical practices in Vietnam.

"Would you be willing to undergo an initiation ceremony to experience the spiritual supernatural power of the Holy Spirit?" the doctor proposed.

Without hesitation, I agreed. The doctor instructed me to join my hands at my forehead, state my name, and pray in the name of Kwan Shih Yin Bodhisattva. As I did so, I felt a powerful force pulling my hands apart. Despite my efforts to resist, the force grew stronger, leaving me exhausted and soaked in perspiration. Eventually, I surrendered to the power.

The doctor declared that my initiation was successful, and I was officially accepted as a student in the metaphysical school. He entrusted me with the group of Five Dharanis to recite every night.

Previously, as a member of an occult school, I would perform rituals during the full moon, such as placing a fresh coconut on the altar. Remarkably, the coconut would rot instantly after the incense burned out, witnessed by my family. I believed I was guided and blessed by three invisible grandmasters during my magical practices.

However, after my initiation into Old_Guru Secret Teaching, one of my invisible grandmasters appeared to me and conveyed that I no longer needed to worship them. Upon sharing this revelation with the doctor, I was informed that I had progressed to a higher level of religious learning. I was advised to adhere only to the five Buddhist precepts and could abandon the rituals associated with the occult school, including dietary restrictions. Previously, violating these restrictions had caused me severe headaches, but now I could eat without fear of punishment from the invisible grandmasters.
