WITNESSING MEDIUMS AND SPIRITS AT WORK
(Một phiên làm việc của thần linh – sent by Thachanhtrang ngày 02 Tháng 10 2012, 14:53 – translated by Devoted_HM, edited by Xiaobaiyun)
I respectfully bow down to my Grandmaster and Master (To, Thay)
One summer day in 2011, I returned to the house of Mr. Nho (an extrasensory man who can search for missing graves). By that time I had learned quite a few metaphysical principles from To, Thay by means of which I myself could already explain a number of mystical phenomena.
I understand that Mr Nho’s work was assigned by the High Spirits, that is to help people locate their family missing graves, and that through this the Spirits were giving spiritual lessons to many families in Northern Vietrnam. Mr. Nho was actually a good choice because, unlike other psychic people who charge very high fees for their service, he is a handicapped person who does not need much of anything for himself. Therefore, even if, during his lifetime, he might have become greedy, there would be nothing much for him to spend his money on.
I stepped into his house and he invited me to have a cup of tea while waiting for him to finish his morning shift. That day, the house was full of people standing in the courtyard and sitting in the living room. It crossed my mind that I should sit in a corner, recite the Five Mantras and pray to the Gods to let me see a vision of Mr. Nho’s method of communicating with the Spirits. I did so by choosing a remote corner in the crowded temple, and crossing my legs in the lotus pose, I started to pray for a vision.
After a long time of reciting the Five Mantras and praying I started to think that maybe the Spirits wouldn’t show me anything; I took a small break and began praying again for a long time. Suddenly I felt my right ear being pulled upward very hard, so hard that my head was tilted to the left and the pain was excruciating. I was surprised, and wondered who could use such force on me. I opened my eyes but saw no one next to me as I had my back against the wall. Meanwhile I still felt my ear being pulled upward and then it dawned on me that the Gods were warning me because of my persistence in asking for a vision which they felt was not necessary.
Knowing so, and with my ear still being pulled up, I was amused by so true a manifestation from the Spirits, and felt like a mischievous student being punished in class. I kept begging them that if they would let me see just a little something then I would leave this place right away. Finally they let go of my ear and I received the following vision:
I saw myself sitting in a feudal government palace, somehow similar to those in Hong Kong historical dramas. However, the palace, having long rows of pillars, was simply decorated: the roof was made out of brick, held up by wooden columns carved with ancient letters. In the center of the palace, there was a podium with a long table and many chairs. There were three people wearing red, yellow, and green long robes with dragonfly-wing hats sitting in the front center, looking very solemn. On the two sides, there were no tables, but chairs which were fully occupied. I saw Mr. Nho (or his replica in the other realm), sitting in the last row and working as a secretary, recording information. In front of him was the space for ancestors’ souls.
I was allowed to witness the role of Mr Nho as a medium for both worlds. When a family came to seek Mr.Nho’s help in searching for their ancestor’s missing graves, all of them (souls of ancestors) would also come, meaning that the living came to Mr Nho’s temple and the dead also came to the palace of the other realm.
After Mr. Nho prayed to the Spirit officers in charge, they immediately summoned the souls of one’s ancestors. When Mr Nho asked the family members about their request, their thoughts appeared as words clearly written on papers that were on the table for the Spirit Officers, the souls of the ancestors, and even Mr. Nho to see.
It turns out that the process of one searching for a missing grave is actually the process of revealing one’s inner thoughts. That is to say, whether the family members are sincere or not in their searching for the missing grave, and whether they have good or bad motives, the truth will be exposed for everyone -The Spirit Officers, the souls of the dead, and Mr. Nho, the medium, to see.
Then, depending on what they see the ancestors will decide on how Mr. Nho will answer the family members), such as to tell them to seek for more information and come back another day, or to tell them the location of the grave, or that such a grave no longer exists, etc…
This explains why Mr. Nho never cares about the status of the family who is searching for their ancestors’ missing graves, and treats everyone who comes to him equally. Some wealthy families were asked to leave his house immediately, while others were able find their ancestors’ graves very quickly.
At that moment, a gentleman, a national government officer, came to meet Mr. Nho. When his turn came, he asked about his ancestors’s missing graves, and gave a list of twelve people. Mr. Nho asked him whether he had researched information about his ancestors, was there anyone in his family who knew anything about them, and did he have the family history document. The man replied that his father and uncle knew about the ancestors and that he had the family tree but did not bring it.
In my vision I saw all the souls of this man’s relatives being present in the palace. But Mr. Nho did not tell the man of their coming. Instead, he asked the man to return to his hometown in Hai Phong province to search for the genealogy record, and then to come back with it.
Meanwhile, the man’s thoughts appeared on the papers which revealed that he was the second child, and that his elder brother did not care about spiritual matters nor ancestors’s graves. The man himself was not that much concerned about his ancestors’ graves either, the real reason for his searching for their graves being that his wife and sons were in trouble; in addition he strongly believed that if he could find the graves, he would rebuilt them and be rewarded with a job promotion by his ancestors.
I thought this may be the reason why the Spirits did not allow Mr. Nho to tell him anything right away.
He walked out and thought a lot about how he could persuade Mr. Nho to show him where the graves were immediately as it was not easy for him to find time to return to this place. Knowing that he was in trouble, I approached him and suggested that he call his father and ask him to read the family tree, then write them down in a note, and come back to Mr. Nho. He did so immediately. After half an hour he happily returned to Mr. Nho and told him he had already got all the requested information. Mr Nho reluctantly let him back into the temple.
I closed my eyes and prayed for a vision. I saw the Gods had allowed Mr. Nho to reveal the location of every single ancestor’s grave who were on the genealogy record. The ancestors also told Mr. Nho that their graves in Thuy Nguyen village, province of Hai Phong, had been moved to another site due to the Land Reform policy. During the moving process, urns and epitaphs were collected and kept separate. Later on urns were reburied regardless of whether the epitaphs were the correct ones or not. Yet Mr. Nho did not relay this problem to that man. Which means that it will be up to the family members, when they go and find the grave site revealed to them through psychic means, to discover that the epitaph does not correlate with the urn of the deceased. Therefore I could see that this man’s family, upon disinterring the urns of their ancestors, would have to make the long trip back to Mr. Nho for clarification, the purpose of which is also for them to spend more time and energy learning about their ancestors as well as the graves issues .
My vision ended. I got up and stepped outside.
Later I realized that it is not so important whether the vision I received was correct or not, but in this vision I have come to understand more about the Spirits, the ancestors of each family, the meaning behind the search for missing graves and the work of the Spirits behind the scene.
And most importantly, I learned that people must have a sincere heart in order to receive blessings and protection from the Divinities.
Respectfully,
Thachanhtrang
